The long way around.
Hey, my name is Andy, and back in 2008, I edited my first podcast for pay. Coming from audio post-production, I’d gained unique experience developing a technique for reconstructing words syllable by syllable when retakes weren’t possible. It was painstaking work, but it taught me to understand speech editing at a fundamental level.
For the next decade, I worked freelance, editing podcasts, audiobooks, and various post-production projects while sharpening my skills. Each format had its own demands, but the core work stayed the same: make people’s voices sound clear, polished, and natural.
I started Audionauts in 2018 with a specific vision: stay small, stay mobile, stay obsessive about quality. Today, it’s just two of us. We’re remote, which means we can work with anyone, anywhere. More importantly, it means we don’t lose control of the process by scaling too fast.
